I am presently writing a new discipleship series designed for small group bible study. They will soon be available through Amazon. The series will be called: "The Planted Bible Study" and has been designed to challenge and to instruct the believer to follow and embrace Biblical truth which will lead them to lasting freedom and the abundant life in Jesus Christ. As each student learns to cooperate with God their Father and to follow the example of their Savior Jesus Christ, the intimacy of their relationship will grow. They will become that tree planted by the rivers of water. They will bear that beautiful, satisfying fruit as they embrace the concept of abiding in Christ. A believer has been planted in Christ and hid with God, HE, God has become their shield and protector. The character of God is emphasized in these lessons stirring the heart of the student to faith. Faith increases as the Spirit of God illuminates to the soul the truth of God. As the student experiences the personal knowledge of God; the knowledge of HIS faithfulness, the knowledge of HIS love, the knowledge of his mercy, intimacy in their relationship with God grows. The relationship becomes personal. This is why we know that all things work together for good. Because we know of the absolute goodness of God, of the absolute faithfulness of God, of the glorious purposes of God that HE is laying out before us. Now we shall be able to count it all joy as we enter into the many trials and tribulations of time and we will begin to tire of the dainty delights this cursed world has to offer. Why, because we have come to know HIM. We discover the faithfulness of his forgiveness. We are humbled by the passionate pursuit of HIS heart for our heart. We are overcome by a love that knows no boundaries and a grace that is more than amazing. God is big enough to handle all of the issues of life and we choose to trust HIM. Do you not long to have the freedom to believe God, to believe in the promises of God, to see the mighty hand of God at work in your life? Before this series is finished, you will be walking in the light as HE is in the light and your fellowship with HIM will be sweet, oh, so very sweet. “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” (Psalm 34:8) We need to be like a tree planted absorbing the rays of the sun, breathing in the wind of the Spirit, feasting on the rich treasures found in the soil of grace and allowing our roots to grow deep that we might be fruit bearers and mercy-showers in these days of deadlines, dead-ends, and dead-hearts. Oh, may you discover in your soul the exceeding riches of HIS grace and the genuine, lasting freedom found only in Jesus Christ.
