Greetings Friends,

In life, we all make choices. We choose:  to marry or not to marry.  We choose: to have children or not to have children.  We choose a career and we choose to go to work or not to go to work.  We choose a church to attend and we choose to worship God and obey God or we choose not to honor our Creator.  But, listen to God’s choice.

1Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

Ephesians 1:2-4  2  Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.  3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  4  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

1Corinthians 1:26-29 26  For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:  27  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:  29  That no flesh should glory in his presence.

John 15:16  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

God's choice to shower upon sinners HIS grace to make them “holy and without blame before him in love:”  is a choice that resounds of love, amazing love and grace beyond degree.  This choice pulled the sinner now saint out of the reign of sin and death placed him in the reign of grace.

We are now the servants of God who show forth the praise of God.  We are so blessed to be recipients of faith and grace, even though, at  various times we may be unfaithful servants.  There are also times when we may be unprofitable servants, and yet, we are his servants. The Lord will not choose to forsake those HE has chosen.  “…,I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5)

“…, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

Those beloved saints which GOD has chosen “IN CHRIST” HE has promised to change them into the very image of HIS SON. Therefore, all of the fulness of God’s love, Grace and Glory, shall be ours.

“4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  7  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4-7)

We have not chosen him, but he hath chosen us. Let the word of God be true and every man a liar.  What comfort and confidence is found in HIS choosing.  What thanksgiving must flow from our souls for the blessing of being IN CHRIST, CHOSEN OF GOD.  Will the Lord love us for a period of time and then just cast us away?  Will HE no longer take pleasure in HIS CHOICE?

Before we were saved, He knew how stiffnecked we would be, he understood that our hearts were evil, and yet HE made the choice.

And, the Lord Jesus Christ is no fickle lover. Christ is not simply enchanted with HIS bride for awhile, and then will cast her off because of her unfaithfulness. No, HE chose to marry her in eternity and HIS love is EVERLASTING.

“…, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

Romans 12:1-2  1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Beloved, let us chose to be an “epistle of Christ, known and read of all men.”  Let us choose to follow HIM and give HIM the glory that is due HIS name.
