Greetings Friends,

Matthew 5:7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

The emphasis of this text is:  those who receive mercy will give mercy.  But the key is:  we must receive the mercy that is offered.

Are you disappointed in yourself?  Are you disappointed in yourself because others are disappointed in you?  Are you disappointed because you had a dream for your life, and it melted long ago?  Are you disappointed because today is not the future you longed for, but rather, it is more of a nightmare?

Please don’t worry about the dream that seems to be gone.   God is going to write the last chapter of your life.    What is important for you right now is that you need to focus on becoming the person God wants you to be and let HIM become your dream-maker.

If you are going to enter into the purposes of God for your life it will take faith.  Just for a moment can you believe that the dream-maker still has a dream for you?  He still has a plan for you.  He still has purpose for you.  But you have got to stop being disappointed in yourself and receive God’s mercy.  If you receive HIS mercy, you will know his peace and love.

1Timothy 1:2  Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

You say:  “I don’t deserve it.”  I know you don’t deserve it, I don’t either, but God is offering it.  Come and get it and rejoice together with God.  Maybe you are saying to yourself:  “I can’t even pray anymore.  I just can’t get serious about praying to a God I know that I have disappointed, again.”

Before the world ever was made God saw you.  He saw the entirety of your life.  He saw every success.  He saw every failure.  He saw every dark and painful, shameful event that has ever occurred in your life and he said:

“I want you!  You are mine!  I have chosen you in the finished work of my son.  I will spend the ceaseless ages of eternity revealing to you the exceeding riches of my grace.”

Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain, mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Come on, God’s offering it!  Come and get it!  We must receive mercy to then enter into the peace of God and have the confidence that HE truly loves us.  People need grace, mercy and love.  We are vessels sanctified and meet for the masters use.  Let us learn to receive mercy so that, we can deliver it as well.  Remember God takes our messes and makes them our messages and ministries.  God takes our pain and for another's gain.

Receiving mercy is a faith issue.  We know we don’t deserve mercy and we feel like we just can’t receive it until we are doing better and deserve it.  By definition, mercy is for the undeserving.  So go ahead and receive it and thank God for it.  I know,  we all deserve a swift kick, but go ahead and receive the mercy.

I know, we should never ever have another prayer answered, but go ahead and receive the mercy and then come boldly to the throne of Grace.  God is a rewarder of those who will diligently seek HIM.

1Corinthians 1:3  Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

He suffered so that we could receive all things that pertain to life and godliness.  He suffered all of that, for you.  He suffered, so that, you could come boldly to the throne and ask for mercy, for grace, for peace, for love, for acceptance.  It is yours…, receive it.
